Some people are building control systems using Windows and various bits of common Windows software (e.g. the Outlook mail system, Excell) duct taped together. Some of these machines are now able to send (and receive) e-mail. Once these systems are connected to the internet (or even just to a large intranet), and they become widely known, how long will it be before people start writing viruses

I am looking for a signal generator or pulse outpt generator that can be used in an industrial environment. I need at least 500K to 1MHZ output frequency. This needs to be able to put into an industrial machine, and run for 16 hrs. a day almost every day. Any ideas!!

Current project has a couple of control units that are based on the SAE J1939 network using the CAN protocol. Want to connect these to a system network based on Modbus. Have looked for converters/gateways but have not been successful.

Although the Gibson Research Corp. had a Denial of Service attack they provide good tools to verify your firewall etc. Very interesting to know and to test how unsafe your configuration is. When you use a resistor in parallel with a 91k thermistor, you get fairly large linear region and then at low temps and high temps the curve levels off...

I have a project on Digital Weighing Machine with computer interface. I have made the digital weighing machine making use of 8085 Microprocessor kit. Load Cell and Analog to Digital Weighing machine were made by me. After getting the display on 8085 kit's LED, now I have interfaced it with a PC.

I am familiar with AVR and have written some code with the GCC port and it is not like the envirnment we are used to under linux. It may be possible to use some of the STL interpreter code and port it to AVR GCC and this would give you the main logic solve module, but this leaves a lot to be done. ...
