Hi all,

Actually I am doing precommissioning for MOV valve using ROTORK Actuator IQ range. Actually, the Actuator is installed on the MOV and all cables are connected to DCS

I tried on site to close and open the vale with selector on LOCAL. it runs good.

BUT

When I select REMOTE on site, on DCS the signal REMOTE is displayed only one second; then I cannot open and close from DCS.

I need your help

These all data about the vale and ROTORK actuator<pre>

You need more information, and you should understand how the DCS logic is set up, and does it match how the Rotork is set up. You need to understand why the remote indication is only on for a second. Look at the input on the DCS (wires 10-11 from the Rotork.) Is it just a pulse from the Rotork? I don't know if that is a setting in the Rotork (pulse for remote). If it is a setting, you may need to change it from pulse to constant. You should monitor the DCS input and outputs (open and close). Make sure you do not have a stop command held in from the DCS. Check to see if it is supposed to be a stop command. Or I have seen a run command that needs to be constant then you have an open or close pulse.

Good luck!

Usually that depends on whether or not the Rotork has an isolated contact output (sometimes a device will use a triac/digital output that is not isolated.). I'm pretty sure the Rotork uses an actual dry contact from a switch. In that case you would need to power the contact, and the DCS can supply that contact power (usually a jumper or config to make the contact powered by the DCS.).

Good Luck!
