I am trying to create a computer model of a controls network that is using Lon Talk protocol. Does anyone know of any modeling software that would be able to do this?

 

To model a network you can use a queueing model. To do this model, you need first to known how the protocol works in details. I don´t know Lon Talk but I have modeled already some networks using queuing models. After you have a model of your network using queueing models, you can run this model in a sofware that accepts queueing models (there are many in the market, I can inform you), or you can make you own model (writng in a software) using some queueing math.
