We are in the process of implementing an MES for a client in the semiconductor industry. They are into memory module manufacturing. All the tests performed on the modules are by means of mounting them on to motherboards( which are booted
directly from diskettes ). Assembly codes perform various tests and throw the result on to a common terminal which is accessed by means of splitter switches. The result of the tests are then noted down manually on to papers to furnish reports and reconciliation of the testing process. While we do have expertise on the MES processing part of it, we are looking at some vendors which can help
us capture the motherboard test data at source and pass it on to the server through any communication channel.
We are looking at a generic solution which is not specific to any test program as the latter can change with time.
