I am needing to design a closed loop DC motor controller with constant speed and varying load conditions. Any help would be greatly
appreciated.

I have DC motors over a wide range of temperatures(23°C-90°C) and weights (10g-8000g slowly increasing) on a machine with a constant speed.
The driver regulates the current for a constant speed(voltage).
If the voltage drops, because the weight is more(or turns slower), it'll increase the current, keeping a constant voltage.

Unsure of your load requirements but why are you not using some of the DC drives that are already out there? Example is a reliance FlexPak
which can run .01% speed accuracy with a 95% load change (closed loop). There are others. Need something better?
