Hi All,
I'm searching for a sensor that would verify a dense rubber insert has been installed into a thinner rubber form. I would presume some form of density measure (x-ray?) would be the route to follow. I don't need an exact measurement but just a go/no go sensor.

Thanks in advance,

Try a capacitive sensor; it may be difficult to tune depending on the difference in density between the foams. If they are different textures visually, you could try a lustre sensor; Omron makes one (and I have one available :) ) I used one to see a rough balck patch on a shiny black plastic box. MUCH cheaper than the colour sensor another integrator picked for the job.

Hi.
This seems to be a perfect application for a checkweigher scale with a go-nogo selected ejector.
