My local emerson rep tells me that the DeltaV simulate package only runs on NT 4.0.

It is hard to find a laptop with SXGA+ (1400x1050) resolution to develop code & screens which supports NT. They seem to have new video drivers which only are supported by XP.

Has anybody run this SW on a XP machine with Connectix Virtual PCT For Windows. This sw will run NT4.0 on top of XP.

Standard resolution of DeltaV Operate graphics is either 1024x768 or 1280x1024 . I've not yet figured out why you're having to run at
1400x1050.

Talk to your local DeltaV rep and if he can't answer your concerns he'll connect you to someone who can.

For convenience, I run DeltaV simulate under Win2000 on my Dell laptop, which supports the required 1280 x 11024 resolution (note: 1400 x 1050 is NOT a DeltaV requirement). This works fine apart from a couple of glitches with the history viewer. Email me if you need more info about a work-around for this.

I don't know about WinXP, but suspect it may be OK as well.
