I have an S7-200 PLC, CPU 221, which I'm trying to hook up to Citect using the SIMPPI Protocol. I have followed every step in the document provided by Citect, but I can't seem to hook up. Can anybody help? Citect Kernel gives Generic Error 7,
Driver Error : 15.

 

What version of Citect are you using?

I have never had to connect a S7-200 to Citect
but I do recall some difficulty in communications
with earlier versions of Citect that I believe have been resolved.

Let me know what version and I can test here in the office as I have a 224 CPU and lots of versions of Citect.

I recently have been developing a simple HMI using
Simantic Microcomputing and the above mentioned 224 and had trouble communicating I had to reduce the receive buffer to lowest setting (1) in the advanced settings for the serial port for it to
communicate at all. This info I found in a readme.

 

i m trying to connect s7-200(224) to an existing citect scada.

already 1 plc is connected to scada through tcp/ip.

kindly provide me the solution for this in step by step guidance.
