You DO NOT want hubs. You DO want switches.

I have been using 'plain vanila' Netgear hubs for a mission critical system. We have millions of time critical messages and they do get where they need to, thanks to the little blue hub.

Make sure that no one trips over the power supply, other than that, there are no problems.

I have had great success with the Hirschmann Product. However I must admit, for the most I employed the bridges, switches and redundancy managers. The full line is commendable.

Have heard good reports on the Sixnet line as well.

Good luck.

E.g. Hirschmann Industrial Ethernet Line components,
Hubs and switches available, DIN-rail mounted, 24V DC redundant , designed for use in industrial evironment regarding temperature etc., connectors for TP and fiber optic (redundant).

Hello Mark;
Have a look at ht efollowing webpage:
www.sixnet-io.net
Sixnet has developped quite a range of industrial hubs and switches that might interest you. We have used their products in some of our projects without problems. Service is good.
Hope this helps,

Dear,

We use a lot of Hirschmann components to set up industrial ethernet and Profibus networks.

Also most of these components have a redundant 24 V power supply.

Kind Regards

Patrick
