Currently, I have this combination that is working:
1. Windows 2000
2. AB 1784-PKTX comm card
3. Intouch 7.1 (using I/O Server)
4. The Intouch application on this PC is communicating to an AB 5/250 PLC (Pyramid Integrator).

I want to to do this without success.

1. Windows XP SP2
2. AB 1784-PKTX comm card
3. Intouch 8.0 (I/O Server or DA Server?)
4. The Intouch application on this PC is communicating to an AB 5/250 PLC (Pyramid Integrator).

Please HELP!!!

I have tried numerous things without success.
I think my problem may lie more on setting up the 1784-PKTX card.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

You may find some help here:

Generally, problems like yours are associated with drivers for the device. WinXP is a little different from Win2000, and may require new device drivers. You should make sure you have the latest drivers from AB. Download the latest drivers from AB's support site:

http://support.rockwellautomation.c...nloads/1784-pcd_driver_4.03_Win9598me2kxp.zip

and follow the directions to unload the current drivers and replace them with the latest ones.
