InTouch version upgrade
how can I upgrade my existing application of InTouch?

Dear All!

I have an exsiting application which was made in Wondeware's InTouch versio 7.11. I have upgraded the InTouch to newer version 9.0. Now I want to use my existing application made in Intouch 7.11 but whenever I Import windows it gives me a compatibility error.

Is there anyone who can tell me how to solve this issue?

Thanks in advance.

Are you able to upgrade to Intouch 8? From memory, some functions may require two step approach to get to version 9.

You will have to upgrade it to V8 first.

After installing Version 9.0, open the Application Manager, goto menu Tools --> Find Applications... and browse to your InTouch application. It is automatically converted to version 9.0. This cannot be undone, so it is wise to have a backup of your old application.

We even converted a 5.6b application to 9.0 in one step.

I already had problems with wonderware 9.0 and i called Christoph Joubert at this number: 450-681-5900. He is an intouch's technician fron Cimsoft.

Explain him which kind of network you have and problems you get and he will help you.

Please give me some news about your problem.

Have a good day

How to upgrade a application made on Intouch 6 to Intouch 9.

leonard30@gmail.com

Hello there,

Follow the steps below to upgrade your Intouch from 7.1 to 7.11 --
NOTE - Make Sure you have made the backup of your application folder before you follow these steps.

1) Install the desired version Intouch software.

2) When installed, open InTouch Application Manager and search your application folder and open it in Windowmaker.

3) A pop will ask you to Upgrade - Select yes.

4) Intouch will be automatically upgraded.

And it's done. Make changes that you want.

PS : Upgrading to Intouch 7.11 is not a good idea when you have Intouch 10 available. Various features that make Intouch 10 superior than Intouch 7 can be found here. Visit this page http://wonderwareintouchusers.com/intouch-wonderware/
