Regenerative sailing
Motion control, servos, steppers, etc. topic
Posted by Leif Thomsen on 9 August, 2008 - 2:35 pm
I´m building a 50 feet steel sailing yacht and want to go electric. Ideas right now: Motor Siemens 22kW 3*380V. Suitable VFD? DC-bank 50 pcs 12V AGM batteries. Questions: What VFD to choose? How much can regen put back to batteries? How to set this up?

Also planning on a 11kW (3*380V) diesel genset as backup.

Ideas and input most welcome :-)

Rgds/Leif
