How do four Local Node Units communicate with Field Control Unit through ESB Bus Coupler In Centum CS 3000 Yokogawa DCS? Is this Modbus communication? How does ESB module communicate with the I/O module and Processor module?

 

4 Local nodes cannot communicate with an FCU. The maximum capacity for FCU is 3 nodes + the FCU node itself. To give you a solution for this I have to know the FCU type.

 

Thanks for your reply. Our Controller Model No is AFV10D and Node Interface Unit Model No is ANB10D.

 

Actually, the FCS (AFV10D and earlier KFCS) have capacity to communicate to 10 local nodes (AFV10D is also an IO node), and a total maximum of 15 nodes with a mix of remote and local.

Out of the box, the AFV10D comes with a capacity to communicate with 3 additional nodes (ANB10D). By adding an additional license called FCS expansion, you can extend this number to 10/15 as mentioned above.

All these answers can be received from the local Yokogawa offices.
