how to read modbus device register value e.g. pm710 on SNMP protocol? for example if i want to acess register of modbus device 4023 on SNMP, what i have to do? is there any OID for this register? what i have to do? is there any software availiabe for this?

Salam GEN,

you can read modbus device register by making a low level program using Visual Basic 6. if you still have problem, you can contact me. I don't know what is a SNMP protocol but i think VB is the best language to do this.

Hi,

What you need is a device called "gateway" which translates your Modbus data to SNMP OID (and vice versa). That's all.
