high indication contact as normally close and low for normally open

I see always high switch are given for normally close contact and low switch for normally open is there any reason.

This configuration makes the switch de-energized to trip/alarm, i.e. the high switch normally closed position (energized) will open (de-energize) when a high condition exist and the low switch normally open position will close in the normal operating position (energized) and open on a low condition (de-energized).
