Hi guys,

I have a problem on going with Foundation fieldbus positioner of a leading brand. If the positioner is disconnected from the segment the node address and tag name get reset to factory defaults.

Anyone with the same experience.
Any idea how to overcome it?

 

Never seen this before. Contact the device manufacturer directly. The tag and address are non-volatile. They should not get lost on power cycling.

I concur with Jonas, never seen this. The instrument supplier is who you need to talk to. Do you have more than one of these devices and do is the issue repeatable in all?
