An increase in Inlet Filter dP would cause what?

I was told that with the increase in the dP across the inlet, the air flow to the compressor reduces. In a CT there is always excess air for combustion, the reduction in air flow does not reduce combustion but reduces the air for cooling which in turn will increase the temperature in the firing chamber and thus the exhaust temperature. was incorrect. Any Help?!?!

Dear sir,

the high DP across the Air Intake filter will create a huge vacuum downstream the filter due to suction of the axial compressor, hence the weak point in this area is the intake silencer which could get collapse.

For this reason the old Gas Turbines were equipped with emergency doors downstream the filter and upstream the silencer to break this high vacuum, but on the earliest Gas Turbines are provided with redundant Tripping switches.

Then the axial compressor is not protected from surge and will operate on the surge area.

Last the exhaust temperature could reach higher level.
