In Safety System like Triconex, It is understood that When Transmitter A and B are consider in Voted logic, needs to be segregated on 2 different hardware module to minimize fault due to hardware fault. But I have seen that Parallel Line (Feed is Common) Transmitters also segregated on different modules, even not voted in logics. Is this a wrong trend?

there are many ways to implement redundancy and many reasons.

many times it has to do with the severity of the consequences of failure. often display and alarm backup are adequate to manage the risk.
