The customer is giving me a water at 5 kg/cm2g at the B/L through a pump feeding to many places which has a shut off pressure of 12.7 kg/cm2g.
Should I design my ON - OFF Valves for DP Shutoff of 5 kg/cm2 or 12.7 kg/cm2. With 12.7 Kg/cm2 the diaphragm valves won't take the pressure as such.
How do I decide on the DP Shutoff. Is it ok if I take 5 kg/cm2 only.
