Coriolis Meters

Hello Experts,

My name is Angelo Polanco and I am currently a summer intern at a major oil and gas company.

I wanted to know what are possible causes for getting inaccurate water cut measurements at a coriolis meter? In general we are getting about 15% higher oil rate and a 5% lower water rate than expected. I have explored the possibility of perhaps the input PLC oil and/or water densities are incorrect.

I am fairly new with this type of technology as I was just introduced to it about 5 weeks ago. Any and all information you can give me will be helpful.

Please feel free to email me at [email protected] or just answer me back here. Thank you

First what meter are you using and what is the meters percent of accuracy for density?

Second what concentration tables are being used to assign "cut" to overall density?

Lastly are you sure your density for water and oil are correct? Are they being compensated for temperature?
