Hello,

one of new GT turbine generator drive frame 5 mark VI controller during making the auto synchronization for the first time the scope in HMI is 180 degree different than the scope on GCPP panel and the breaker didn't close.

Also diagnostic alarm appears during that :
VTUR slot 4 diagnostic alarm <R><S><T> fault code 52 and the message (synch check relay slow that adjustment limits).

so the auto synchronization failed after that we stop the unit .
the diagnostic alarms still appear when the unit is stopped .

Thanks

Below from the MKVI manual

52-53 Breaker # Slower than Adjustment Limit Allows.
Breaker 1 or 2 close time was measured to be slower than the auto synch algorithms adaptive close time adjustment limit allows
The breaker is experiencing a
problem, or the operator should
consider changing the configuration
(both nominal close time and self-adaptive
limit in ms can be
configured).

The diagnostic is fairly common and you need to change the CB#1 Adaptive Limit parameter (in mSeconds) in the VTUR set-up until you get a setting that suits your breaker. Problems with this diagnostic will not stop you from synchronizing, we have had the same problem here on our new Frame 6 machines and are still playing with the setting to get rid of the diagnostic.

The other problem with your synchroscope is what is causing you a problem. You need to check the connections between the GCP and the HMI.

Hello,

The different of 180 degree of synchroscope is solved by invert the wiring of bus voltage 110V AC that coming from GCPP so the scope now is ok and the degree is similar to the scope of GCPP and auto synchronizing is done successfully.

Thanks
