We are having a seperator Vessel operating at -80 Deg C and 25 kg/cm2. We are using a Reflux type Level Gauge for providing field monitoring of Hydrocarbon Level and a DP Type LT (Level Transmitter, ABB 600T series). The Vessel Operating Conditions are as follows:
a) Operating Pressure: 25kg/cm2
b) Operating Temperature: -80 Deg C
We experience a problem of blackening of LG glass due to the hydrocarbon. This causes considerable problem for field viewing of liqud level in the vessel. Also many times the Level Transmitter shows erratic reading and on flushing it, takes some time to show the correct reading.
Can you suggest an alternative LG and DP type LT for the application.
