We're in the process of studying best method to upgrade from Centum CS UNIX to Centum VP. Our site is considerably small with 1500+ I/O and 4 nos. of CP333 + 3 nos ICS + 1 nos EWS + 1 nos ACG.

What puzzles us is, as part of Centum VP upgrade proposal, Yokogawa insist on having a new HP-UX server to replace existing UNIX EWS.

While all ICS will be on new Windows based HIS, the EWS will still remain on HP-UX or UNIX environment.

Also, as part of the upgrade package, the CP333 will be replaced by CP345.

Cant the project database/program residing in CP333 be converted into Windows database hence eliminating the needs to have HP-UX server?

Our aim is to have 100% Windows based system (including EWS).
