Hello,
I'm a young and inquisitive E&I tech at a very large paper mill in south Georgia. We operate 2 steam Turbine generators. One is a 1800 psi condensing 72 mw unit powered by our coal fired power boiler (swing) and the other is a 1200 psi 82 mw back pressure unit powered by our recovery boiler with a prv in between. I'm curious as to how the load is controlled and how an operator can choose to make more power to sell or whatever. Please help me understand how it all works!
