Modbus PLC
Is there any difference between the standard modbus and modicon modbus protocol?

Hi,

Is there any difference between the standard modbus and modicon modbus protocol?

Please help me on this ... i have a little confusion. And in some modicon plc they support MW, M, I, MI and some 0x, 1x, 3x address.. Pl clear my doubt

modbus is developed by modicon and its generic protocol. best thing to do is. u should understand the configuration part of your modbus slave or master device. if the configuration and data types are not matching then communication will not happen.
