Pilot Operated Deluge Valve
Pilot Operated Valve

Dear Experts,

Anyone can briefly explain to me what is exactly pilot operated valve especially on dry, wet & electrical actuation? I would like to know the principle for this kind of valve and whether it can be use for deluge valve for foam system.

Thank you in advance

anyone?

Pneumatically Operated Deluge Valve:

Simulate the Low Pressure in the Fusible Line by draining air. Due to Low Pressure the air-line will be cut-off and release the trapped water which was keeping the Valve in Closed condition. As a result Valve will open and activate the Deluge System and water Sprinkler System will activate.

Electrically Operated Deluge Valve:

Simulate the Low Pressure in the Fusible Line by draining air .Due to Low Pressure Signal will go into controller(PLC) and will generate a DO s/g which in-turn will de-energise the SOVas a result of which water-supply will be cut and valve will operate thus activating the Deluge Systems.
