i have been googling for a while about why micro-processors are used in commercial PLCs; what i mean is why not micro-controllers? why are the MPUs are preferred over the MCUs? i couldn't get any good reason so i came to you guys for help. so help me please.
i believe famous brands like Siemens... have a good reason to use processors rather than controllers.
