Can somebody tell me the frequency of applying NYOGEL 760 grease for Mark-V Cards Ribbon Cables.

Ideally, it should be (re-)applied approximately every two years, or as per the conductive grease manufacturer's recommendations.

The actual frequency is a function of ambient conditions (humidity; heat; dust; etc).

The key is not to apply too much grease at any one time, and to ensure--to the extent possible--that the pins are adequately coated. To do this, it's necessary to seat and unplug the cable from the connector several times, observing the pins of the connector while doing so. Too much grease is worse than none. A light film of grease is all that is required. The best way to apply the grease is to lightly coat the female connector of the ribbon cable and then plug it into the connector on the printed circuit card.

If any deposits are found at the time the cables are disconnected from the connectors the cause should be investigated and resolved. Causes include humidity, as well as excessive prior application. Any excessive deposits should be removed before applying a new coating of conductive grease.
