All the Positive displacement meter manufacturers claims that "Measurement is not affected by changes in gas specific gravity". but how it can be possible with in a fixed container having fixed volume? Gasses with different specific gravities will effect the measurement...

Fluxi/Delta MTS etc.

gas meters measure volumetric flow. They are designed to operate on only a few inches pressure. The gas density changes would have to be very significant to affect the meter or its operating range.

Most meters are sized according to a range of conditions and hence the quoted minimum flow will include all reasonable conditions. It may be true that higher densities will enable slightly lower minimum flows but outside the quoted minimum. And insignificant.

Now if you are looking at industrial measurement then SG will be important to gas quality/energy content. And to calculating standard volumes from measured actual volumes.
