These are pretty good units.

They may have been installed inappropriately or misapplied.

I would suggest a very careful reading of the instruction manual and close inspection of the actual installation.

You may find your answer that way.

I always had good luck with the Miltronics tech support people.

You are kind of vague about what is actually happening. I would be looking at the trends of stuff around the tank this is in at the time this is going on to see if there is something going on that might be causing this. Is the tank filling? Emptying? Heating up? Could steam or other vapors getting in the vessel?

Hard to know what you mean by "drift".
