I am trying to connect to an Experion PKS OPC server from a remote client on a different domain. I can connect and read values when i use opc explorer on that same remote machine. We have ODH on the same subdomain as the remote client being tested and it connects .
I can connect to the OPC server from the remote machine using OPC explorer via ORB (installed on the same remote machine) .
The issue i am having is that i am not able to connect to the OPC server using data manager .It would connect to the server ,i can browse to the tag but when i create a shared point i get an unknown error. I tried connecting to the opc server by installing ODM on the ODH server (that connects to the OPC server already) and i get the same issue.
The OPC server is a windows 2008 OS . I am suspecting some class is not being called up properly by data manager. The common thing i see is .Data Manager to Experion PKS server
I am using the latest data manager version .
