Voltage limitation in EX IS cabinet

Hi

I like to carry in the same wiring duct, 500VAC (for small motors) and 24VDC (from/to power supply and PLC signals), the 24VDC feed EX barriers.

According to the rules, there is any problem with that? or in need to keep a gap between the wires?

There is any spacial rules for EX IS cabinets, except that IS wires cant be with regular wires in the same duct?

Basically we work according to IEC.

many thanks

Hi

I have always believed that control wiring especially Ex Is and power cables should be run in different ducts or if this is not possible at least have a distance between them and a metal shield. As this will reduce the effects of induced voltages from the power cable to the control cable.Induced Voltages can cause some headaches for your Technicians to fault-find.
