H hfzaal Jul 7, 2013 #3 Hello Dear, Volt/Hz protection is also called over fluxing. which meant to exceed excitation over requirement at that speed. Have you noticed that Field breaker is only applied at speed > 90% of rated speed, just to avoid operation of Volt/Hz. This over fluxing may cause heating core.
