Wiring Schematic Standard

I am searching for a standard way to draw schematic circuit diagrams. I searched through the internet and found the IEC 60617 which is the standard symbols for electrical and other components. My question now is about how to connect these symbols together. how to label and number my components (plc, terminals, buttons, sensors, etc) using a standard technique.
