While sizing the 120VAC/24VDC rectifier to supply power to RTU system (to be installed at wellhead), i have considered
Power consumed by Power supply and all modules in the RTU chassis
Field load power for only installed inputs/outputs. Do we have to add up power for rectifier for Digital outputs (normally 1 Op=14 watts). A vendor advised me not to add up as all DOs are not ON at the same time...
Also for future power, what should be considered?
Remember the chassis cards power for existing and future (empty slots) is already considered. This question is regarding powering up of field signals while using the same rectifier/power source.
