Parameters for Generator Design

I want to design / size a generator coupled with a radial turbine acting as an TurboGenerator.

My difficulty is selecting the type of generator from Synchronous or Induction. Also as a reference I want to design the generator for storing the electrical energy in the Battery for a Hybrid Vehicle.

Please can you suggest some parameters which i can go about with?
