The control of motorised valves for water heater

Hi There,

I live in an old house with no gas supply, and water is heated via coal, or electric immersion heater. I have just installed an electric shower which solved one issue, but now I am looking at installing an instantaneous water heater for both my basins, thus relieving the need to use the immersion heater. So I have come to the conclusion is that If I motorise the outlet of the immersion heater, and the inlet of the instantaneous water heater so only one can be operated. I need some help with the control for this Ideally automatic, but a push button or switch would be acceptable.

Many Thanks
