Allen-Bradley PLC-5/10,12,15,25 only have DH+ port, no DF-1 RS232 available like newer series of PLC-5. So it is not possible for you to communicate with this PLC using your PC RS-232 DB9 ports. If you don't want or not able to use PCMK card since most new laptop don't provide PCMCIA slot, you should use 1784-U2DHP USB-to-Data Highway Plus Cable:
