I have Centum Vp system controlling the utilities of a Petrochemical Complex. Is it possible to install VMware into the engineering PC and virtualise the machine?

Again can I take the copy of the VMware folder and take it to any other PC, do the necessary changes there, and re install it to Centum Vp engineering PC?

I use VMware virtualization quite a bit and yes you can do all those things, but I think you need to ask yourself first why are you trying to do this?

At first glance what you are trying to do may not make sense, so what benefit or what constriction do you have that would make you want to take this step? To add VMware to onto an existing PC, you are just adding layers of OS software that will make it run very slow.

Optimally, you would run VMware on the bare metal of a PC, then add the virtual OS containers on top of that, but if the goal is only 1 virtual machine, I am not sure that makes sense either.
