We have a simple cycle 501f GT and idle most of time. what is the best method to prevent wear and tear on discs? Is it okay to run TG once in a week for 30 minutes? Siemens recommends to do 1 hour TG operation if down more than a week. Isn't it too low? What options one have to prevent these wearing issues? logic changes or reduction in TG speed? need to know merits and demerits too.
