Dear members,

I would like to know what is the appropriate way to send floating point numbers using the ModbusRTU protocol?

Could you reference links of a simple program/application that works with the ModbusRTU protocol and sending configurations that are a floating point to be saved on a register of a RTU device.

Currently I'm using this application: http://www.ataytugal.com/ModbusMat.htm

However for sending floating point number to a device, is very hard because the commands sent by the application are typed by hand using the hexadecimal codes.

If you could suggest a similar application but able to send floating point number, that would be great. Also I thank you for any relevant links and/or tutorials.

Thank you very much for you time and for any hints.
Kind Regards,
MrChampion

I have a home grown ModHost Windows application that supports IEEE Float and it is free for the asking.
