Hi There.
In compressor control, Such as ITCC (Integrated turbine and compressor control system) by TRICONEX, I have seen that controlling function and compressor protection function is implemented in TRICONEX TRICON PLC. For E.g. Anti-surge control and TRIP (OPEN) both are through TRICON PLC. I would like to know which clause of IEC 61508/61511 or ISA 84 allows this mixing of function. Should this Anti-surge valve be categorised as on Continuous mode?
