electrical servo drives health check

Dear members

I wonder if I could have an expert advice. I have got to visit a site where 110 odd servo drives some B and R, some Bosch rexroth are installed.

I have been told that they are having problems with the servos and they would like me to perform a thorough health check. I have been told that drives are very old and electronics might required to be updated

Could I request the experts to advise please:

1) what are the things to investigate to evaluate the performance and life of the electrical servo drives? A advisory checklist would be appreciated.

2) Why are the wear and tears in electrical servo drives over extended use of 25 years?

3) What are the key features/parameters which could be increased to get more life out of these drives?
