Since ProfiBus runs on the RS-485 physical layer, (with many others) Profibus cable _is_ RS-485 cable. So if it meets the mechanical requirements, I fail to see a problem. If you don't mind purple.

I am amazed that anyone is more expensive than Siemens, but a buck a foot for good cable is a pretty good deal these days.
