When I calculate PDF for SIFs, I used <b>Generic failure rate (Reliability Data)</b> which provided by SILSolver/Exida/PDS.
And SIF has been evaluated and finally all SIL was satisfied.
But My problem is that I did not use actual failure rate which provided by sensor/F.Element manufacture. Some vendors provided actual failure rate with FMEDA report, and I replaced failure rate from generic data. <b>But Some vendor do not have their own reliability data.</b>
So Even though SIL calculation is done by generic data (From PDS handbook) Without actual vendor data, Can I say SIL level of this loop is satisfied?
I know SIL certification for all instrumentation is not always necessary, But what about failure rate (Reliability data)?
