Siemens S7 and TIA portal for learning
I want to learn about Siemens PLC Siemens programming and WinCC.

I want to learn about Siemens PLC Siemens programming and WinCC. I have installed TIA portal version 12 in my computer. I want to know if i learn it, then can i also work with Siemens S7? I know its a very basic question, but i really want to know the difference so that my learning direction should be correct.

The basic answer is Yes.

TIA stands for Totally Integrated Automation, which provides a working platform for both HMI and PLC application software including STEP7.
I would recommend using V13 if you can.

TIA and Step 7 have different environment looks.
