Cables Connecting KSA50/KTA50 to 6.3 MVA TX

We have 6 generators mixture of QSK50/KTA50) feeding into 6.3 MVA TX. I asked a technician from the site about how many cables in total feeding from each generator into the TX? His answer was 16 cables for each QSK and 13 for KTA. Would someone please explain how you can get these numbers out of 3 phases?
