GE Turbine mark 5 duel fuel, we replaced the old diesel engine starter with new one type Detroit model 71237000

any way we start up the turbine it goes normal we kept in spin we notice there is oil leak so we shut down the turbine after the leak fixed we tried to start the turbine the speed goes to around 1200 rpm the diesel engine trip so we made trouble shooting everything looks normal so would you please if there any suggesting or any one faced the same problem.

Can you give some more information, what Alarm are you getting when the diesel trips? It could be low lube pressure on diesel but you should get an alarm. It all is about L4DE, this is the diesel run/trip relay, you need to investigate the logic for this to see why the diesel is tripping.

Please send as much information as you can.

 

Please write more details about your Control system type in addition to the place of oil leakage and any annunciated alarms during before and after turbine trip to can help you!!

 

Thank you for your reply we found broken gear at diesel engine fuel pump.we replace the pump and everything goes normal.
