If there is a HIPPS loop and calculations suggest SIL 3. But for the coloumn it is protecting there is also a PRV installed. Now LOPA suggests that that PRV will be an added saftey so we should input an RRF 100 in our SIL calculations consequently reducing our SIL level to 1.
My question is that if PRV load is not considered in Flare designing because designers said that HIPPS loop will prevent the PRV from being needed. So in this case would we still use RRF in our SIL calculations?
