I have what I assume is a pretty simple question regarding the rated voltage of a motor. If I have a 3-phase 15HP induction motor with a rated current of 18.2A, is this the current per phase, or total over all three?
If you are referring to the rated current mentioned on the motor name plate then Yes, The current mentioned is per phase, in your case 18.2A per phase.
